Accounts Payable – Irlam, Manchester



The Role

The main purpose of the role is to process supplier payments and reconcile supplier statements


Key result areas

  • Accurate and timely processing of supplier payments

  • Maintaining relevant supplier master data

  • Uploading supplier invoices and credit notes to Hubdoc/Xero

  • Preparing and reconciling supplier statements

  • Supporting the business to resolve supplier payment issues

  • Investigate and resolve pricing and quantity discrepancies on invoices

  • Reconciliation of purchase orders to supplier invoices

  • Actively chase approval or goods receipting from managers to ensure timely payment of invoices

  • Manage accounts payable inbox

  • Supporting the finance team as required

Qualifications (desirable)

  • AAT or equivalent

Relevant Experience

  • 3+ years purchase ledger/accounts payable

  • Large organisation experience (desirable)

Aptitude, skills and abilities

  • ERP systems experience for purchase to pay

  • Xero accounting system (desirable)

  • SimPRO system (desirable)
