Data Administrator, Irlam, Manchester

The Role

The Data Administrator will be responsible for timeliness of data entry into Freedom Fibre systems and the quality of data at all stages in the data lifecycle. The Data Administrator will also be accountable for maintaining an accurate database, including reporting, uploading and exporting of data from various sources.

Core Responsibilities

  • To work with areas of the business to understand key dates for data creation / imports

  • To produce relevant data insights / analytics to the team.

  • Perform any administrative and compliance checks

  • Receiving, consolidating, and processing of data, with a particular focus on the input and cleansing of data.

  • Propose solutions for automating, optimizing and streamlining data processing

  • Quality testing batches of data and identifying any areas of inaccuracy / mis-capture

  • Reviewing processed documents for accuracy against original document content

  • Ensuring documents are processed in line with department KPIs / targets

  • Adhering to departmental and Company processes / procedures

  • Creating and updating documents as and when required

  • Understanding of legal requirements such as GDPR and Gift Aid

  • Complete regular corrections of system data, such as duplicate records or use of wrong fields, to correctly record data identified through data quality check reports.

  • Providing additional support to the team and Head of Function, including project work as and when required

Skills and Experience

  • Experience of working with large data sets using Excel

  • Excellent relationship management skills

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Ability to meet deadlines and targets, and adopts a pro-active approach to work

  • Strong logical / numerate skills and high attention to detail

  • Experience of database administration, prospect and contact management and data imports

  • Understanding of legal requirements such as GDPR and Gift Aid
