The Document Controller will manage project documents ensuring that the daily documentation workflows between the various parties is controlled and documents are filled, edited, compiled and/or retrieved as appropriate.
Creating document templates
Converting information from project teams into user-friendly documents.
Numbering and labelling documents for identification and reference.
Scanning, copying and distributing documents to project team members and stakeholders.
Tracking documents to maintain confidentiality.
Reviewing documents and making revisions for accuracy.
Liaising with project team members to ensure documents meet requirements.
Training document specialists and other employees on document systems.
Adhere to company and project quality procedures and quality records
Prior experience in documentation handling and the use of related software systems.
General knowledge of engineering technical terms and understanding of engineering processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office package – Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Professional or similar
DMS Qualification (desirable)
Minimum of 2 years' experience in document control in a construction or alternative workplace.
Quality oriented, structured and organised with attention to detail.
Good time management.
Good communication skills.
Ability to grasp processes and structures.
