This month, Freedom Fibre have made another key appointment to take lead on the innovation and growth of the technology division within the business.
As Chief Technology Officer, Shawn Nolan’s 20 years’ experience in telecommunications will support Freedom Fibre’s ambitious growth plans to deliver their network to 2m homes. An expert in leading FTTx project rollouts – both architectural and delivery-based – in his previous roles at AT&T, G.Network, Gigaclear, and the UK Government, Shawn’s appointment marks an exciting time for Freedom fibre.
CEO, Neil McArthur, reflects on the importance of technology to Freedom Fibre and the Telecoms industry, commenting:
“Welcoming Shawn Nolan to our team is a testament to how important technology is to Freedom Fibre’s business direction and growth, and it is high up in our priorities to be at the forefront of technological advancements in this area.
Of course, FTTP is technical in its own right, but there are many aspects of technology that need to be integrated before a customer can receive the service and we can maintain it.
When setting out to create Freedom Fibre, the founders reflected on the many years we have spent in the industry and the impact of strong technology throughout this time. Technology always marches forward and taking advantage of this innovation adds to the customer proposition - be it consumer or business. Shawn has a busy time ahead.”
Shawn is already getting stuck in, attending Connected Britain last week on behalf of Freedom Fibre, chatting to other exhibitors and identifying opportunities for innovation. Speaking on joining the Freedom Fibre team, Shawn stated:
“My initial thoughts on Freedom Fibre has been nothing short of impressive, and I am excited to join such a knowledgeable team at a stage of profound growth and expansion. After speaking with numerous key team members and understanding the business’s vision for the future, I’m proud to have joined Freedom Fibre as the new CTO and I look forward to working closely with the team and contributing to the continued growth of the business.”
As Shawn settles into his role as the CTO, he is already bringing a vast amount of knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to his work. Keep an eye out for further updates on Shawn and what’s next for technology within Freedom Fibre.
