
The Role
As MDU Build Manager, you will own and manage a specific part of an essential build cycle. In doing so you will be responsible for managing a team that ensures Freedom Fibre succeeds in its corporate objectives in providing fast and reliable fibre to everyone.
You will be responsible for managing the MDU Build function within the Company owning the completion of specific build tasks including but not inclusive of:
Leading a team to ensure MDU surveying and build packs are completed within the scope of build including cost, efficiency and adhering to design & architecture rulesets
Supporting the wider build function with MDU design and architecture, improving processes, and looking for cost effective ways to develop the area
Assisting with Operations team requests, working on customer connectivity within MDUs to ensure customer satisfaction
Working with the Special Operations Engineering team to fulfil MDU Builds including forecasting, planning and deployment
Working with Marketing teams to generate interest to support MDU Build
To do this; you will lead a team that is geared towards success. Leading by example will be key and no day is likely to be the same, your experience in managing functions, people and championing excellence will support our goals and help us to change the way we think about things, challenging convention and attracting the best talent.
Tenacity is key within this role with the ability to self-motivate, you will also be responsible for managing data in accordance with compliance standards and reporting into the wider business on a regular basis.
You will own relationships with key strategic internal and external stakeholders, supporting your team to ensure engagement with stakeholders yields improvements and results where necessary.
Core Responsibilities
Creating and owning documents and processes that provide guidance and structure for the wider business owning the function
Team management, delegation of tasks and managing people, leading a team in the mould of the business
Highlighting priorities that will have a direct impact on deliverables for the team working with the wider organisation to ensure swift action is taken to reduce inefficiencies and increase customer satisfaction
Own internal and external stakeholder relationships
Proactively monitor and pursue overdue tasks ensuring minimal disruption within the business
Provide reports to the wider business on progress/development and issues
Risk mitigation, looking for ways to reduce chances of failure and implementing change structure & protocols to inhibit

Skills and Experience
Experience within the telecoms industry or similar services industry
Extensive experience in role/field is desirable but not essential
Previous people management experience is desirable understanding how to develop people, manage a team efficiently and drive results
You should be proficient in Microsoft packages including Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Visio & Project
Experience with planning tools such as QGIS or APX is also desirable
Experience working to demanding delivery timescales and the confidence to challenge convention
Desire to develop a new area and mould it into a sustained area of the business
Wanting to achieve positive results that support the business
Keen eye for detail in the MDU Build function to spot deficiency and identify solutions
Be adaptable in a rapidly growing business
Excellent communication and organisation skills with the ability to talk to various levels
Attention to detail and a persistent approach to following up enquiries with tenacity to drive delivery goals
Self-motivated to lead by example
