Here at Freedom Fibre, we are currently expanding our team, and this has created an exciting new opportunity for a MDU Build Supervisor to join the business.
You’ll play a key role within the MDU Build team, coordinating and liaising with internal and external suppliers with a focus on the delivery of Freedom Fibre against targets set out in the Project Delivery Plan.
Ensuring and monitoring effective MDU site operations and the coordination of works compliant to NRSWA and health and safety requirements
Ensuring all work on site is carried out to adequate standards as stated in contractual specification through site audits
Maintaining productivity objectives
Updating daily and weekly reports, reviewing them against the project delivery milestones and highlighting any risks to the MDU Build Manager
Ensuring all post installation, as builds and customer documents are completed and checked
Work with internal teams to plan in works with Highways Authorities, Local Authorities and other Utilities Companies where required
Ensuring all site-specific method statements and risk assessments are in place working closely with our compliance department
Carry out public liaison duties as required
MDU Build Manager
Skills and Experience
Alongside previous supervisory experience in either telecoms or utilities, you will possess strong planning, organisation, problem solving and communication skills.
OSP Telecoms Network Build, Splicing, OTDR and Blown or Traditional cable installation experience would be beneficial
Keeping up to date with industry guidelines and framework by reading, learning, and putting instructions affecting the safety of systems into practice
Accurate maintenance of system records to ensure safety and reliability
Inspections of equipment and systems for safety defects
Performing and recording results of safety tests on critical equipment
Testing and certifying the safety of new systems, installations, and modifications
Preparing and maintaining cabling records, schematics, and diagrams
Perform work in accordance with industry standards. read and follow design Engineers’ instructions and specifications, maintain the scope of work on the project and adhere to safety procedures
Prepare Engineering field notes, interpret buried underground and aerial telecom facilities in records, on maps and in the field with clarity and detail and make recommendations for changes in running line or construction methodologies
Enter and maintain outside plant records
SA020 not required but beneficial
