
The Role
The Network Operations Manager will plan, organise, and manage staff to ensure stability of the network, while working to strict deadlines and being flexible to meet the changing business requirements.
Core Responsibilities
To implement and enforce configuration management and change management processes and practices.
Ensuring that all elements of the network are monitored.
Ensuring the network monitoring and alarm system is robust.
Prioritising faults to meet the required SLA’s.
Driving consistency, quality, suitability, and cost-effectiveness within the network operation team.
Providing regular updates to the Customer Service team of progress of fault resolution.
Maintaining a close working relationship with the build teams and ensuring any problems are analyzed and learnings fed into future designs.
Ensuring as-builts are received, checked, and stored in order to maintain effective operation use.
Creating and delivering a plan to improve departments KPI’s.

Skills and Experience
Previous experience in working with an ISP across the service life cycle – design build and operation
Experience in leading a technical team
Professional level network vender qualification such as CCNP or JNCIP
Experience working with GPON/XGS-PON and passive network technologies
Experience of a fault ticketing system
Knowledge of Firewall and content Filter Management
A strong track record in delivering results in a fast paced and complex workspace
Ability to work in a team
Problem solving skills
Clear written and verbal communication
A proven ability to set both strategic and tactical direction
