The main purpose of the role is to manage the entire process in the planning of procurement and supply chain activities, inventory control, logistics and distribution, ensuring effective processes to avoid costly delays and lost opportunities. Ensure effective lines of communication between the Programme/Build Teams and the Procurement Team to ensure priority requirements, timely delivery of goods, works and services. Look to obtain best value and leverage process improvements in the supply chain and identify new vendors/suppliers where appropriate whilst always looking to improve pricing, quality and delivery.
Creating supply chain strategies that support the long-term strategic direction of the company.
Ensure maximum productivity including improvements in stock accuracy and delivery of product.
Prepare and negotiate contracts.
Procure materials and supplies.
Manage supply chain compliance, governance and accreditation.
Manage and report on inventory and stock accuracy.
Responsible for all aspects of product storage, handling and distribution.
Work with the wider business to forecast, enabling optimisation of inventory levels.
Leverage process improvements in the supply chain.
Work collaboratively with our suppliers and partners to create best benefits on items such as logistics.
Management of all key supplier relationships.
Develop and agree specific KPIs and SLAs.
Control/analyse customer forecasts and allocate demand to sites accordingly.
Process and manage purchase orders.

Proven end to end supply management experience including category management.
Good negotiation skills and strong commercial awareness of contracts, for example NEC3, JCT etc.

Experience & Qualifications
Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or related field.
Must have at least four to five years’ experience operating in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
Managing a procurement team
The ability to work within budgets and to deadlines.
A comprehensive knowledge of relevant legal regulations/frameworks.
Experience in a related industry, e.g. Telecoms, Construction, Infrastructure, Utilities.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to engage with various stakeholders and to obtain buy-in into the delivery of the overall project objectives.
