Freedom Fibre were delighted to sponsor this year’s Whitchurch Blackberry Fair which took place last Saturday (01/10/22). The Freedom Fibre team joined the festivities to speak to local residents and let them know that lightning-fast, full-fibre broadband is coming soon.
The event took place in the beautiful North Shropshire market town, and a joyful atmosphere and glorious sunshine set the scene for a wonderful event. Live music, morris dancing, baked goods, and magical costumes filled the town centre and attracted visitors from across the region. This year, Freedom Fibre sponsored the event’s first aid provision.
Steve Chapman, organiser of the Whitchurch BlackBerry Fair, was "really grateful" for Freedom Fibre's support, adding:
"We are a voluntary organisation so we appreciate any support that we get from businesses. It helps make the event happen - it wouldn't happen otherwise."
Freedom Fibre’s mega buzz wire game provided a challenge for adults and children alike, with lucky winners heading home with prosecco and chocolate in hand.
Residents living in rural Shropshire were particularly pleased to hear of Freedom Fibre’s plans to bring broadband speeds as high as 1,000Mb/s to homes and businesses, where existing poor broadband speeds cause issues for many residents.
We were pleased to bump into Helen Morgan, Member of Parliament for North Shropshire, who has already met with Freedom Fibre’s engineers to see first-hand the roll-out of a full fibre broadband network in Whitchurch.
If you are interested in connecting to our full fibre network, please register your interest and we’ll let you know as soon as the service becomes available.
