The Role

Developing a wide range of integration applications using Java, Python and various database technologies operating in a cloud-based environment (AWS) with the focus on back end.


Core Responsibilities

  • Delivering functionally correct, secure, and well authored software.

  • Taking part in code reviews, testing & remediation of bugs and low-level design.

  • Responding to a Kanban style prioritisation of tasks.

  • Working in a small-team agile environment, communicating with peers and team management as required to ensure that the team meet its development objectives.


Reporting to

Senior Developer/ Technical Lead



Skill and Experience

  • Workflow systems for order processing or some other real-time process

  • Design / implementation for security

  • Integration of remote / 3rd party systems

  • CI/CD pipeline

  • Small team agile

  • Cloud based development (AWS)


Qualifications

  • Degree (does not need to be in relevant subject)

  • Evidence of continued professional development in relevant subjects / areas of interest

  • Good communications with peers

  • Able to visualise real-world situations

  • Self-starting; looking to solve problems

  • Focused on outcomes

  • Team player but happy to lead
