Freedom Fibre keeps promise to extend Weaverham network to residents of Acton Bridge.

Freedom Fibre have extended their FTTP broadband network into Acton Bridge following a Parish Council lead project supported by the community.

Freedom Fibre is already available in nearby Weaverham and with many homes connected and enjoying the advantages of the gigabit-capable, full fibre broadband network, the residents of Acton Bridge came together to request that their community be included in the build.

Acton Bridge Parish Councillor, Georgina Hayward, commented, “Some parts of the village suffer from very poor broadband speeds (less than 10Mbps), and there are no properties currently served by Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) broadband. So, when we found out that Freedom Fibre were building in Weaverham, we had no trouble in gaining enough support from residents to request that they extend their build to our village”.

Living up to their values of delivering full fibre connectivity to homes off the beaten track, Freedom Fibre are just weeks away from being able to offer lightning-fast, reliable and affordable broadband to a community that really needs it. DCMS Gigabit Vouchers are eligible in this area which supports the additional costs incurred for rural communities*.

To be one of the first residents to boost their broadband speeds, register your interest now and be on your way to enjoying average speeds of up to 500Mb/s.

*The DCMS email eligible households requesting approval to pledge a voucher to the network provider, Freedom Fibre. Approving this voucher does not enter the householder into any commitment and this voucher is only redeemable by the network provider, Freedom Fibre, once the household's service has successfully gone live.
